Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Maple Grove

It was close, but on Wednesday the Maple Grove Crimson sidestepped the Blaine Bengals for a 3-2 win.

Maple Grove had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 18-25, 27-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Pengxue Xiong went supernova, getting 16 digs and four aces. Those four aces gave him a new career-high.

Maple Grove's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
