Softball Recap: East Nashville Magnet Victorious

East Nashville Magnet proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the University School of Nashville Tigers 17-16.

Lunden Gaines was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Clark, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

East Nashville Magnet was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .429 that University School of Nashville posted.

East Nashville Magnet now has a winning record of 4-3. As for University School of Nashville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coming up, East Nashville Magnet will challenge McGavock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for University School of Nashville, they will welcome Hume-Fogg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
