Basketball Recap: Milan Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Milan won the last time they faced Novinger and things went their way on Monday too. The Milan Wildcats managed a 45-41 victory over the Novinger Wildcats. Given Milan's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while Novinger is ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Marian Dabney, who posted 18 points in addition to eight boards and eight blocks. Mya Pauley was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Milan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Milan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Novinger, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Milan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-40 defeat against Trenton on the 15th. Novinger has also already played their next contest (against Linn County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
