Gavin Shefsky posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Cypress Creek is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 8-9 otherwise.

Coming up, Shefsky and Cypress Creek will square off against Lecanto at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
