Softball Game Preview: Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds vs. Lima Senior Spartans

The Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds will head out on the road to face off against the Lima Senior Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lima Central Catholic has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lima Central Catholic's offense. They lost 13-0 to Lincolnview on Thursday. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lima Senior's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Spencerville by a score of 13-12.

Lima Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lima Senior, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Lima Central Catholic took their victory against Lima Senior in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-5 score. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
