Recap: Thornton Trojans vs. Lincoln Lancers
The Thornton Trojans waltzed into their contest Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They breezed by Lincoln at home to the tune of 77-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Thornton also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Adrian Armendariz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Kainoa Miller, who scored 12 points.
Thornton's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-2. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornton will be home for the holidays to greet Northglenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln will be home for the holidays to greet Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Lincoln is ranked 134th).
