Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central Heights walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Hardin Hornets on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Central Heights' seventh in a row) raised their record to 25-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Hardin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

Looking ahead, Central Heights will challenge New Waverly on Thursday. Hardin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
