The Otis Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the McClave Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Otis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.7 runs per game this season.

Otis is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 21 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Merino on Saturday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 12-2.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when McClave took on Holly on Friday. The Cardinals lost 9-3 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

McClave's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Otis, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Otis has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like McClave struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
