Tri-County Academy had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. They put the hurt on the Copiah Academy Colonels with a sharp 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Tri-County Academy pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Copiah Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-County Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Clinton Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 8th. As for Copiah Academy, they will head out to square off against Jackson Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Copiah Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
