Baseball Game Preview: Academy of Holy Angels Stars vs. St. Anthony Village Huskies

Academy of Holy Angels is 2-8 against St. Anthony Village since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Stars will take on the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Academy of Holy Angels sitting on five straight victories and St. Anthony Village on nine (dating back to last season).

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Academy of Holy Angels nor St. Francis made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Stars walked away with a 4-1 win over the Fighting Saints.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Anthony Village ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against Richfield by a score of 5-2.

St. Anthony Village's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Academy of Holy Angels, their record now sits at 8-1.

Academy of Holy Angels couldn't quite get it done against St. Anthony Village in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 5-0. Can the Stars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
