Baseball Recap: Northeast Jones Snags Ninth Victory in Last 12 Games

Northeast Jones put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Friday. They blew past the Forest Bearcats 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 14 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kaden Padgett was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasper Herrington, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Northeast Jones has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Jones will take on Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Forest, they will face off against Northeast Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
