Wallace-Rose Hill won the last time they faced Clinton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Dark Horses by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Wallace-Rose Hill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-20.

Jansley Page paced Wallace-Rose Hill's offense, picking up 27 kills. Page got some help from Mattie Gavin and her 42 assists. Page was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Clinton had strong showings from Cameron Marshburn, who had 21 digs and three aces, and Jenna Jackson, who had 17 assists and five digs. Marshburn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Wallace-Rose Hill's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Wallace-Rose Hill has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East Duplin on the 14th. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
