Basketball Recap: Stall Takes a Loss

Stall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-26 loss at the hands of the James Island Trojans. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

James Island found their leader in sophomore Sarah Ross, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points and seven steals. Ross is becoming a predictor of James Island's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 6-14 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Madisyn Smith, who posted 14 points.

Stall's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for James Island, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.

Stall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 85-21 loss against Ridge View on the 18th. As for James Island, they have also already played their next match, a 27-21 win against Sumter on the 18th.
