The Timpanogos Timberwolves will face off against the Orem Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpanogos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Timpanogos is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Provo, who was ranked 13th at the time (Timpanogos was ranked tenth). The Timberwolves had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Timberwolves have posted since March 24th.

Cooper Hawkes made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, Corbin Hardy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Boston Cook was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Timpanogos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Provo only posted a batting average of .290.
Meanwhile, Orem entered their tilt with Uintah on Thursday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They were the clear victors by a 22-3 margin over the Utes. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Orem also got a great performance from Beckett Hendry as he struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Ford, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kai Fiso also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Timpanogos' record now sits at 19-3. As for Orem, their record is now 14-8.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Timpanogos hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Orem struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Timpanogos' way against Orem in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Timpanogos made off with a 13-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
