Basketball Recap: Crismon Rattlers vs. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions
The Crismon Rattlers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 67-12 loss at the hands of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. Crismon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-4.
Leading Pusch Ridge Christian Academy to victory were Sierra Gifford and Nicole NJoroge. Gifford scored 16 points along with six rebounds, while NJoroge scored 17 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gifford has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sedona Dietrich, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Crismon's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.2 points per game. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.
Crismon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
