Basketball Recap: Anthony Takes a Loss

Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 51-40 to the Kermit Yellow Jackets. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellow Jackets earlier this season, when they won 61-52.

Kermit was led to victory by Zavion Quiroz and Diego Juarez. Quiroz went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 22 points and five rebounds, while Juarez posted eight points along with ten boards and four steals. Those 22 points gave Quiroz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Pando, who put up 13 points.

Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Kermit, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-15 record this season.

Anthony does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kermit, they will challenge Brownfield at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
