Football Recap: Columbiana Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbiana can now relate to. They took a blow against the Dalton Bulldogs on Friday, falling 43-7. The Clippers were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the five contests prior), but the Bulldogs' defense proved too tough.

Dalton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Leek, who threw for 206 yards and three TDs on perfect 11-for-11 passing, and also punched in one score on the ground. Jackson Oswald helped Leek out on the ground, picking up 55 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

With the loss, Columbiana broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4. As for Dalton, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Columbiana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dalton, they will head out to take on Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 10.3 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
