Volleyball Recap: Round Rock Takes a Loss

Round Rock lost against New Braunfels back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dragons fell just short of the Unicorns by a score of 2-1. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Round Rock saw an underclassman step up: freshman Isa Cordaway-Dreier had 24 digs. With that strong performance, Cordaway-Dreier is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game. Aubrey Goode also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Round Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for New Braunfels, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Round Rock is taking a road trip to square off against Manor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Braunfels, they will challenge Pieper at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
