Basketball Recap: Lampasas' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Lampasas ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 win over the Marble Falls Mustangs. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Badgers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Marble Falls' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylie Roberts, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Roberts has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leslie Reynoso, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.

Lampasas' win bumped their record up to 11-19. As for Marble Falls, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-23 record this season.

Lampasas has already played their next game, a 45-35 defeat against Jarrell on the 28th. As for Marble Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-40 loss against Salado on the 28th.
