Basketball Recap: Rouse's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Rouse's game on Tuesday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 63-56 to the Leander Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-35 on January 3rd.

Rouse's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amari Moore, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points. D?Andre Gardner was another key player, going 6 of 9 en route to 15 points.

Rouse's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-10. As for Leander, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6.

The future could be bright for both Rouse and Leander: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Rouse will try to hand Lehman their eighth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Leander will look to extend Lockhart's four-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
