Softball Recap: Tyrone Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Tyrone got themselves on the board against Bishop McCort on Tuesday, but Bishop McCort never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Crushers. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Golden Eagles this season.

Tyrone's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Bishop McCort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Tyrone and Bishop McCort could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Golden Eagles (ranked 195th) will meet Punxsutawney (ranked 49th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bishop McCort will take on Westmont Hilltop at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (327 vs. 78).
