Volleyball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss

Wells lost against Owyhee back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leopards took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves. While the Leopards didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Braves 25-18 in the first set.

Wells started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-23.

Wells has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Owyhee, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Wells wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against White Pine on the 11th. As for Owyhee, after both having extra time off, they and Eureka will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
