Softball Recap: Hardin Northern Takes a Loss

Hardin Northern fell victim to Waynesfield-Goshen and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Polar Bears have suffered against the Tigers since April 21, 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for Hardin Northern and nudges their season record down to 7-3. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Hardin Northern will square off against Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Commodores have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the Polar Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, they will venture away from home to take on North Baltimore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waynesfield-Goshen's pitchers better be ready for this one: North Baltimore has averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
