Softball Recap: Tri-County North Beats Preble Shawnee for Their Third Straight Victory

Tri-County North waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Preble Shawnee Arrows get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Kasidi Daugherty made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Gracie Hemp was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Tri-County North now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Preble Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-County North will host Bethel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Preble Shawnee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bradford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
