Basketball Recap: Caney Creek Takes a Loss

Caney Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 61-48 to the Dayton Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1068th, while the Broncos are ranked 504th).

Caney Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Dayton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Caney Creek Panthers duke it out with the Conroe Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Caney Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Dayton has already played their next matchup, a 57-46 victory against Lee on the 28th.
