Hawkins had won 15 straight games and Brayden Givens did his part to make it 16 on Friday. The Hawkins Hawks blew past the Ore City Rebels 58-32 thanks in part to Givens, who went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last nine games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Derek Hollman, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. What's more, he also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in January of 2024.

Hawkins' victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Ore City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.
