Basketball Recap: L'Anse Creuse North Takes a Loss

L'Anse Creuse North was the 46-39 winner over L'Anse Creuse when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders fell 44-34 to the L'Anse Creuse Lancers on Friday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, L'Anse Creuse North still got an impressive performance from Sophia Wiacek, who posted 15 points.

Allison Tuladziecki was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine steals for L'Anse Creuse. Tuladziecki has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Lezotte, who earned seven points and seven steals.

L'Anse Creuse North's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for L'Anse Creuse, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

L'Anse Creuse North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-29 defeat against Romeo on the 14th. L'Anse Creuse has also already played their next match, a 37-31 loss against Marine City on the 14th.
