Baseball Recap: Bell Creek Academy Takes a Loss

Bell Creek Academy lost against Seffner Christian back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bell Creek Academy Panthers fell just short of the Seffner Christian Crusaders by a score of 11-9. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Andrew Golden and Nathan Benoit did some serious damage despite the final result: Golden scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5, while Benoit scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave Golden a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Braylin Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bell Creek Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Seffner Christian, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bell Creek Academy will challenge Tampa Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell Creek Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Seffner Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Spoto at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Spoto has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.64 runs per game on average), something Seffner Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of.
