Baseball Game Preview: East Eagles vs. Greece Athena Trojans

The East Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Greece Athena Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East 4.1, Greece Athena 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

East fell victim to Honeoye Falls-Lima and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Greece Athena had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Patriots as they made off with a 16-1 win. That looming 16-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

With the loss, East broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Greece Athena, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
