Basketball Recap: Jerome Tigers vs. Burley Bobcats
After flying high against Wood River last Wednesday, Jerome came back down to earth. The Jerome Tigers fell just short of the Burley Bobcats by a score of 49-47 on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Seely, who posted nine points. Nash Gillette was another key player, putting up ten points.
Jerome's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Burley, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jerome will square off against Twin Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burley, they will host Minico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
