Softball Recap: Velva/Drake/Anamoose Falls Short Against Ranked Hillsboro/Central Valley

Velva/Drake/Anamoose faced Hillsboro/Central Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Aggies lost 15-3 to the H-CV Burros. The Aggies have struggled against the H-CV Burros recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Velva/Drake/Anamoose saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Balas, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Velva/Drake/Anamoose's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Hillsboro/Central Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.
