Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Pottsville). They came out on top against the North Schuylkill Spartans by a score of  7-3  on Wednesday. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Crimson Tide as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
  Harrison Ciavarella was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brody Eroh, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
Pottsville's  win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for North Schuylkill, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the  loss, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pottsville will host Schuylkill Valley  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for North Schuylkill, they will welcome Tamaqua  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Blue Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9  runs per game  this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
