Baseball Recap: Hazard Takes a Loss

Hazard lost to Scott County back in April of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs lost 13-3 to the Cardinals. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hazard saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trace Kincaid, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Kincaid is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-3 (and 6-12 when he doesn't). Clint Davidson was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Hazard now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Scott County, their record now sits at 20-7.

Hazard has already played their next matchup, an 8-3 loss against Pikeville on the 4th. As for Scott County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Sayre on the 5th.
