Why it's big: Only one of these teams will remain unbeaten and continue its quest for a Class 6 state title.

Friday will be the third time in five years these teams from opposite sides of Missouri will collide in the playoffs. Howell crushed Blue Springs South, 41-7, in an early-round game last year, avenging a loss to the Jaguars in the 2011 state semifinals.

Names to watch: Receiver Briley Moore-McKinney is the go-to receiver in Blue Springs South's offense. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound senior leads the team with 12 touchdown receptions.



Howell boasts one of the top defenses in Missouri, limiting opponents to only 57 points total through 10 games. The unit features Bowling Green commit Dirion Hutchins at defensive end and all-state twins Justin and Ryan Perkins at linebacker.
