Soccer Recap: Rodriguez Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Rodriguez's and Pioneer's matchup on Friday was close at halftime, but Rodriguez turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. The Rodriguez Mustangs blew past the Pioneer Patriots 3-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kevin Galvan and Tyler Branch scored all three of Rodriguez's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Rodriguez's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5-1. As for Pioneer, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 0-1-2 and their overall record down to 2-3-3.

Rodriguez didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Wood on the 22nd. Pioneer has also already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against Vanden on the 22nd.
