Southaven had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They walked away with a 50-41 victory over the Center Hill Mustangs. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Mustangs are ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southaven pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Center Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Southaven will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Belmont at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. Belmont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Southaven likes a good challenge. As for Center Hill, they will welcome Memphis Business Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
