Basketball Game Preview: Elk Valley Christian vs. Hannan Wildcats

Elk Valley Christian will venture away from home to take on the Hannan Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Elk Valley Christian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Victory Baptist Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Saints, falling 63-33.

Meanwhile, Hannan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 57-52 to Covenant. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elk Valley Christian will have to contain Ian Chaffin as he made an impact in Hannan's last game. He posted 12 points. The dominant performance gave Chaffin a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Cade, who earned nine points.

Hannan now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Elk Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything went Elk Valley Christian's way against Hannan in their previous meeting back in January, as Elk Valley Christian made off with a 60-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elk Valley Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
