Football Recap: Doherty Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Doherty's offense. They came up short against the Valor Christian Eagles on Friday, falling 26-0.

Nelah Thompson threw for 73 yards on 13 of 23 attempts. Jada Symons was her top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Doherty's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Valor Christian, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Doherty will head out to square off against ThunderRidge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valor Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
