Salesian College Preparatory came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins with a sharp 15-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pride, who have now won eight contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

DeAmor Coleman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Matea Gaddies was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gloria Alcaire, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI.

Salesian College Preparatory kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive games.

Salesian College Preparatory's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Looking ahead, Salesian College Preparatory will be playing in front of their home fans against El Cerrito at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Patrick-St. Vincent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
