Volleyball Recap: Prestonsburg Takes a Loss

Prestonsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Shelby Valley Wildcats. If the Blackcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Prestonsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Shelby Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Prestonsburg is taking a road trip to challenge Betsy Layne at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shelby Valley, they will challenge Floyd Central at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
