Basketball Recap: Allen Academy Takes a Loss

Allen Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 37-26 to the St. Joseph Catholic Eagles. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Allen Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they moved to 5-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Allen Academy will take on Houston Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they will venture away from home to take on Faith West Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith West Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something St. Joseph Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
