Football Game Preview: Hoopeston/Armstrong/Schlarman vs. River Ridge

On Friday River Ridge will take on Hoopeston/Armstrong/Schlarman at 7:30 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

There's no need to mince words: River Ridge lost to Milledgeville last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 14-54. This makes it the second loss in a row for River Ridge.

Meanwhile, Hoopeston/Armstrong/Schlarman took a serious blow against Dwight/Gardner-South Wilmington, falling 0-51. The state rankings had actually given Hoopeston/Armstrong/Schlarman a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
