Baseball Game Preview: Catholic Central Crusaders vs. Weir Red Riders

The Catholic Central Crusaders will head out to take on the Weir Red Riders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Catholic Central is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Catholic Central fell victim to Toronto and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Red Knights.

Meanwhile, Weir came up short against Clay-Battelle on Wednesday and fell 7-3.

Teddy Glyptis and Cayden Braswell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Glyptis got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Braswell got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Weir's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Catholic Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Catholic Central suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Weir in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
