Antelope Valley has gone a perfect 9-0 against Eastside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 989th, while the Eagles are ranked 264th).

Antelope Valley will have to contain Henry Anderson as he made an impact in Eastside's last game. He picked up 148 receiving yards and one touchdown. Anderson was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 61 yards.

Antelope Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Thursday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Antelope Valley has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 147.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Eastside, though, as they've been averaging only 9 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Antelope Valley against Eastside in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Antelopes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
