Softball Game Preview: Delhi Hawks vs. Edison Vikings

Delhi is 0-3 against Edison since March of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Delhi Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Edison Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Delhi has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Delhi is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Modesto, falling 14-0.

Meanwhile, Edison came up short against West on Tuesday and fell 9-6.

Leila Tatupu was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Angeleya Miranda was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Delhi's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Edison, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Delhi suffered a grim 21-7 defeat to Edison in their previous matchup back in March of 2020. Can Delhi avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
