Volleyball Game Preview: Urbana University Illineks vs. Arcola Purple Riders

Urbana University hasn't had much luck against Arcola recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Illineks will head out to challenge the Purple Riders at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Urbana University came up short against Judah Christian and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Arcola beat Blue Ridge 2-0 on Thursday. The Purple Riders haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Arcola didn't let Blue Ridge take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24.

Urbana University's defeat dropped their record down to 0-26. As for Arcola, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-20.

Urbana University couldn't quite get it done against Arcola in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Thankfully for the Illineks, Kacie Sisk (who had 18 kills, five digs, and three aces) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
