Basketball Game Preview: Highland Bulldogs vs. Hoover Cardinals

The Highland Bulldogs will take on the Hoover Cardinals in a tournament on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

If Highland beats Hoover with 58 points on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Highland was the clear victor by a 58-36 margin over Lancaster on Thursday. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hoover). They managed a 68-64 win over Southwest SD on Saturday.

Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Highland, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
