Softball Game Preview: Dorsey Dons vs. King/Drew Golden Eagles

Dorsey is 0-10 against King/Drew since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Dons will venture away from home to square off against the Golden Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Dorsey has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dorsey will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Locke on Monday. The Dons walked away with a 19-14 win over the Saints. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Dons' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, King/Drew lost 11-3 to Mira Costa on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King/Drew saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Garcia, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Brooklyn Walker, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

King/Drew's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Dorsey, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4.

Dorsey might still be hurting after the 12-5 loss they got from King/Drew in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Dons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
