Softball Preview: Davis Darts vs. Weber Warriors

Davis has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Weber Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Thursday, Davis made easy work of Farmington and carried off an 8-2 win.

Katie Klaumann was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run. Another player making a difference was Jada Chilton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, everything went Weber's way against Copper Hills on Thursday as Weber made off with an 11-3 victory.

Kendall Strasburg made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Strasburg was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Olivia Boswelll was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Ellie Nielsen was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double.

Davis' win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Weber, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Friday's match will be a test for both team's pitchers. Davis hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Weber struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
