Baseball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Champaign Central Maroons, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Champaign Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11-1 record this season.

Danville will take on Urbana at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Champaign Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Maroons 4, the Sages 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
